Don't Tape Over

Short Film

This was a really ambitious, super fun project working with comedy troop Seldom Differ. Funded through Kickstarter the team did amazing well to pull this idea together. Starring Rebecca Taylor aka SELF ESTEEM, this film was shot over the course of a week, with multiple locations and unit moves. The idea relied heavily on the use of VHS footage, so naturally we shot on multiple old tape formats and home video cameras, which gave us odd aspect ratios and soft, grainy, highly contratsy images. To get us back to our real world narrative we used an Alexa Mini framed for 2.40:1.
